Hello, University of Blueberry Syrup:

Well whaddya know...

I passed the one hour and forty minute, three person panel interview and have accepted the offer they made to me and am now employed by the "U".

It was a tough interview, and included a manager from IT, a Director from Academic Programs, and a Director from Operations. Each question rotated among the interviewers, and they weren't easy.

In addition, as a condition of accepting the interview, I had to agree to prepare and present a full 12 minute PowerPoint presentation that was created 100% by me, on a software application of my choosing. The presentation was live and was to an audience of people who knew what they were doing and were able to ask me questions during the preso. I did good *:-)

So I've been there for a couple days already, and I like it *:-) I plan to be with the "U" for at least ten years, and assuming I get through the 6 month probation period, I'll be busy working for a long time.

Also, they actually checked with every one of the 7 references I provided, some of whom live far across the country and back east.

By the way, if you can't answer the question "What is your pedagogical approach to teaching" correctly, you would not pass the interview. I had the right answer, because I have a degree in Education and have been a teacher and happen to love it *:-)
