The entire county was without power for several hours today. Our servers sucked all the backup power our UPS's could deliver and the Sys Admin was madly shutting everything down and pushing buttons on the KVM like mad. Got 'em all shut down in time except for 2 that don't have anything on them right now. Then the power came back on, and we got to run around turning it all back on again *:-)
Plenty of office politics to keep us diverted from worrying about electrical power though. It's the other kind of power that is causing damage right now. We are all looking forward to new leadership to find a course that will inspire us to forget about the small s__t and work toward common goals. Sounds very human to me *:-)
My wife and I are getting ready to choose our new Verizon mobile phones. One of our kids suggested the Razr, but after checking them out, no way are they for us. We will go with the latest LG phone that Verizon offers. We like them, we are used to them, and they fit our plan renewel package with no extra charge *:-)
Ok, time to focus on work now that my work PC is back up...
